Instagram becomes a great bazaar

The Zuckerberg app reinvents itself to stand up to Amazon

Amazon has a new competitor and, perhaps, did not expect: Instagram. The Mark Zuckeberg app is still looking to get more fruit from its business and reinvents itself. From the app to share images with acquaintances, he jumped into ephemeral stories to become a great bazaar.

Instagram has released a new version, but only in the United States and still in tests. The platform allows its users to buy products from brands such as Adidas, Nike, H & M and Zara directly from the application without needing intermediaries or leaving the same.

Under the name of Checkout, users of the app can buy several articles without leaving Instagram. At the moment, the Facebook property application allows more than twenty brands, including Zara, MAC Cosmetics, Michel Kors, Adidas, Nike and Kylie Cosmetics, to sell their products from their profile on the social network. The following Instagram update, explains the company, will include more brands and more products.

The Instagram interface does not change, the new feature allows users to buy the products they want. After clicking on the product label, but always in the official profile of one of the brands will appear a button called Checkout on Instagram.

Then, they can pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. Before submitting this feature, Instagram allowed brands to include a link to their respective websites for users to purchase.

Thanks to the new feature, users can select a product represented in a publication and see its price. Then, they can click again and place an order.

In addition, Checkout saves the information for future purchases and tracks the order as well as other markets in the network. For its arrival in Spain we will have to wait, since Instagram explains that, for the moment, 'checkout' is only available in the beta version for users in the United States, in order to reach the rest of its users worldwide.
